About AMSI
The American Support Standards Institute (AMSI) is an independent standards-setting initiative dedicated to advancing inclusive quality in caregiving and support services.
AMSI develops voluntary, non-regulatory standards that provide shared reference points for defining roles, work, outcomes, and quality across service systems.
AMSI also develops verification methodologies that allow service quality claims to be evaluated using structured and verifiable evidence.
AMSI is neither a regulator nor a certifying body. Its standards are designed to support clarity, alignment, and continuous improvement across home, community, workplace, and residential settings.
“Inclusive” reflects a commitment to quality defined not only by procedures, but by real-life outcomes supported by observable and verifiable evidence — including safety, participation, stability, and dignity.
